SJS Passion Play 1984

Great idea for a new post, the one and only passion play we put on was in 4th grade in 1984. Let's review roles and fun stories of this memorable event.

Holy Crap! passion play ? Mel Gibson stol his idea for his movie from us, he owes us all HUGE!

Hey shouldnt we all be doing stations of the cross on friday ?

What did you all give up for lent ?
I gave up fast food, or anyplace that has a drive thru.

Okay so I barely remember this passion play we speak of. All I remember is that Holy Week for a Catholic kid, attending a Catholic school was a lOOOOONG week! It was all I could do to make it through the two hour masses for 7 days in a row (I am exaggerating of course).
And those long-arse gospels! I always remember feeling like God would strike me down if I didn't follow along and say "the crowd" parts right on que.

Ahhh but the awesome Easter basket on Sunday (I mean the Risen Savior) was well worth it:)

Tell me who played what in the Passion Play. I honestly don't remember.

Speaking of church stories, how many times did Fr. Roach say "and" or how about Fr.Kim and his hair flip. I remember Josh doing a great imiation of it...

Wasnt Dohman Jesus ?

I honestly do not remember the passion play. I must not have been in it.

Ummm, am I a really bad non-practicing catholic if I didn't give up a single thing for lent? Brian's afraid to get near a Catholic church if I'm around for the fear of being struck dead..he thinks God has bad aim.

Does anyone have pictures of this so called passion play you speak of, because I really can't remember it!!

I think I was Judas and Shannon H. was the high priest (Caphiasus) because I have a picture of us striking a deal.

Jean-

I do remember our handshake to seal the deal... I got to wear very fancy sandals as I portrayed Caphiasus.

Do you still have the picture? It would be a good addition to the blog.

Yes Brian was Jesus, and he carefully wore a real crown of thorns that my mom had made. I was Thomas. I only remember that because when I told my dad, he said "Oh, you're the doubting Thomas!" and it stuck in my head all those years.
